The hydraulic brake valve model 288 from MAGURA has been manufactured thousands of times since 1988 and is mainly used as standard equipment on various BMW models.Starting with the K1 and the R 1100 4-valve boxer series up to the R1150 series from model year 2002.For the large amount of motorbikes on the road with the 288 valve, MAGURA offers a repair kit that includes all parts to completely overhaul the 288 valve.After many years and kilometres, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the master cylinder and replace all sealing elements.The kit includes a new piston with seals and piston return spring. a piston bellows. a reservoir bellows. a new sealing ring for the piston mounting screw. a suitable silicone brake paste.-
